Democrat Opposition to Trump's Supreme Court Nominee Starting to Buckle
The Democrats announced late last night that they would filibuster Trump's Supreme Court nominee before his name was even announced. Now that Gorsuch has been announced, the Democrats' plan hasn't changed. They still are going to try to block him.
But the wall is already starting to buckle. Democrat Senator Manchin, from West Virginia, is already bucking his party and asking his colleagues to give Gorsuch a chance.
Manchin is one of eight vulnerable Democrats who are running for re-election in two years in states that Trump won.
We can do this. We can hold Congress' feet to the fire and force them to confirm Gorsuch. If not, then they MUST use the nuclear option!
