The Trump administration is making good on its promise. They are doing everything they can to build the wall and defund sanctuary cities.

Now, Democrats are threatening to defund all of this. They are working behind the scenes to prevent Trump and Sessions from defunding sanctuary cities and GOP leadership is just letting it happen.

We are so close. The Trump administration just formally served these sanctuary cities with notices demanding that they end their sanctuary policies. The next step is to pull the funding.

That is why Democrats are scrambling to block this as soon as possible. And that is why it is so important for YOU to take up arms and FORCE Congress to hold the line on this!

The Trump administration just delivered certified letters to sanctuary cities. They have two options: they can either prove that they are cooperating with Federal immigration investigations (which they aren't) or they will lose billions of dollars in Federal funding.

In order to qualify for Federal grant money, cities and states must be compliant with all Federal laws. Under this requirement, Attorney General Jeff Sessions is ordering these sanctuary locales to certify that they are in compliance with 8 USC 1373, which says,

"A Federal, State, or local government entity or official may not prohibit, or in any way restrict, any government entity or official from sending to, or receiving from, the Immigration and Naturalization Service information regarding the citizenship or immigration status, lawful or unlawful, of any individual."

Sanctuary cities operate by not cooperating with Federal immigration authorities. If an ICE agent calls to inquire about a suspect in San Francisco, for example, police are instructed not to give out any information.

This is illegal, which also makes it illegal to give these jurisdictions Federal grant money.

This week, you and your colleagues will vote on the budget bill for the remainder of 2017. It is absolutely imperative that you maintain the language that requires grant recipients to be fully compliant.

A number of your colleagues are working behind the scenes to pull the rug out from under Jeff Sessions and the Trump Justice Department. If this caveat is removed, grant recipients would be free to harbor illegal alien criminals.

You cannot allow this language to be removed. If you vote for any bill that protects sanctuary cities, We the People will have no choice but to vote accordingly on Election Day...
