In 2014, former-President Barack Obama signed the United Nations' Arms Trade Treaty. At the time, Congress overwhelmingly rejected the treaty, not only refusing to ratify it, but declaring the signing to be unconstitutional.

The UN Arms Trade Treaty sets a framework for international gun control. Not only does it shut down arms imports and exports, but it requires countries to create gun owner registries and submit them into a worldwide database.

Obama could only sign it, but that did not stop him from trying to implement it by executive order. His administration cracked down on ammunition and firearm imports, even going so far as trying to ban the most popular ammunition in America. Then, he instructed his agencies - like the Social Security Administration - to begin adding Americans' names to the FBI's prohibited persons list without their knowledge.

The previous administration succeeded on halting many gun and ammo imports, drying up the market for most Russian and Eastern European firearms. They tried to implement their Social Security gun ban, but you and your colleagues used the Congressional Review Act to shut it down.

Well, right now, there are Obama holdovers in Geneva to brainstorm new ways to help the United Nations implement its gun control agenda.
