It is confirmed. Paul Ryan is blocking a vote on the Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act. He is claiming that "the timing isn't right."

Ryan just doesn't want it to become law. He is perfectly happy with 26.15% of all Americans being prohibited from bearing arms in their home states. He is perfectly willing to let innocent Americans face prison time for accidentally bringing their gun into an anti-gun state.

Luckily, the Founders knew this day would come. Using a discharge petition, Congress can completely bypass Paul Ryan and force a vote on this common sense bill.

Congressmen are finally starting to speak out against Paul Ryan's roadblocks. They are sick and tired of him blocking the Conservative agenda. Now is the time to strike!

The Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act is a must-pass piece of legislation.

Every year, countless Americans are victimized living in or traveling through states that arbitrarily prohibit them from carrying firearms for self-defense, as the 2nd Amendment protects. Many people choose to carry a firearm anyway because they refuse to disarm and wind up arrested and thrown behind bars. Others just have a gun in their car console out of habit and completely forget it's there, only to face felony charges when they're pulled over in an anti-gun state like Maryland or New Jersey.

The Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act fixes all of this. If you have a concealed carry permit from a state, you would be allowed to carry in every state. If you live in a Constitutional Carry state like Vermont or Arizona, where residents are entitled to carry a concealed weapon without a permit, you would be able to carry your gun nationwide as well.

Most importantly, if you live in an anti-gun state, you would be able to get a non-resident carry permit from Utah or Florida and use that permit to carry nationwide... including in your home state.

This is the biggest gun rights bill ever to be introduced into Congress. It would restore the 2nd Amendment's right to bear arms to the 26.15% of Americans who are having that right infringed upon and would ensure that all law-abiding Americans have the right to carry nationwide.

Unfortunately, Congressional leadership are blocking this legislation from coming to a floor vote. The Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act now has 210 sponsors/co-sponsors, which means it is just eight votes away from passage. Even though House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte is a Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act co-sponsor, the bill still has not received a hearing.

Enough is enough. GOP leadership cannot be allowed to prop up these anti-gun states and leave a quarter of all Americans defenseless, with their rights violated.

I am demanding that you introduce a discharge petition/resolution and force a vote on this legislation. One or two men should not be allowed to stall this life-saving legislation.

It is not enough to simply sign on as a co-sponsor. You need to do everything in your power to ensure a vote is held and this bill is passed into law. That includes signing onto a discharge petition and bypassing these establishment GOP roadblocks.

You need to decide where your allegiances lie: to the United States Constitution or to the do-nothing Congressional leadership? Please let me know because I will be voting and donating accordingly...
