When President Trump visited the United Nations, he gave them an ultimatum: reform or be defunded. So far in his presidency, Trump has proven he is not kidding.

When he announced America's withdrawal from the UN Climate Treaty, he cut off all the funding that Obama promised the UN's climate agency. Since Obama couldn't get you and your colleagues to ratify the treaty, he had to settle with financing it and helping the United Nations implement it around the world.

In total, Obama promised the UN a total of $3 billion. At first, he only gave away $500 million. Thinking that Hillary would win the election, he was in no hurry to make the rest of the payments. After Trump won, Obama raided his discretionary spending account and gave away another half billion, bringing the United States' total UN climate treaty donation to $1 billion.

You and your colleagues didn't approve or appropriate any of this. You never ratified the treaty. Obama took money earmarked to help Americans and gave it away to the UN's radical climate agency.

Trump ended those payments and submitted a budget demanding that the United States' payments to this radical agency be cut off.

While Pres. Trump was threatening to defund the UN if it didn't reform, some of your colleagues were hard at work trying to preserve Obama's legacy. The Senate Appropriations Committee snuck an amendment into the State Department's budget requiring that the US continue financing this sham climate treaty.

So let's get this straight. Congress never ratified the treaty, the President decided to withdraw from it and cut off funding, and now a handful of Democrats and Republican collaborators are going to keep the Obama payments flowing?

This is unconstitutional. This is unacceptable. You need to shut this down. You need to stand up, defend American sovereignty, and pull the plug on these attempts to fully fund the UN's liberal agenda.

The American people voted for the America First agenda. We defied all the polls and delivered a shocking defeat to both the Republican and Democrat establishments. If you allow these cowardly, anti-American amendments to move forward, we will rise up and vote again.
