Rep. John Conyers had to be forced to resign after multiple credible allegations emerged accusing him of sexually harassing and assaulting women. He had been serving in Congress for 53 years and he still wanted to fight to keep his seat. He was such a career politician, that his half-century "service" could only be ended by accusations that he broke the law.

Under his "Drain the Swamp" constitutional amendment, Congress would finally be subjected to term limits. It would limit Congressmen to serving no more than three 2-year terms and Senators no more than two 6-year terms.

There is a reason that this amendment has sat collecting dust on Mitch McConnell's desk for 342 days. Mitch knows that if it passes, he's out of a job. The entire Congressional leadership would be forced out.

President Trump ran on a promise to "drain the swamp" and enact term limits in Congress. He won by a landslide, winning states that Republicans haven't won in almost three decades.

It is time to follow through with this agenda item and finish this!
