In two weeks, Congress has managed to confirm just three of President Trump's judicial nominees. As it stands right now, there are more than 300 nominees waiting for a vote in Congress.

Chuck Schumer and the Democrats are using every trick and technicality to delay the confirmation process as much as possible. At this pace, it will take Congress four more years to fill every vacant Judicial and Executive position.

Mitch McConnell and the GOP leadership announced that the August recess would be cancelled this year. Instead, Congress will work through their vacation and get to work passing legislation and confirming the Presidents 300+ nominees who are waiting for a vote.

In the past two weeks, three of President Trump's nominees have been confirmed. They were introduced on the floor on May 24 and finally got their vote on June 5. Three votes in 13 days. This is shameful.

At this pace, it would take four years to confirm all of Trump's nominees.

Never in our history has there been such a concerted effort to deny a President his victory. Not only is this denying the President from putting Conservative judges onto the courts, but it is also leaving hundreds of Federal positions vacant or, even worse, held by Obama holdovers.

This has to stop.

You need to use every tool at your disposal -- all of your political capital -- to bust through this obstruction. That means passing legislation that reaches Trump's desk and confirming his nominees.

Senator Lankford has introduced a measure that would bust through the obstruction once and for all. His resolution would keep the 30 hours of debate for Cabinet, Supreme Court, and Appellate nominees. But it would cut the debate time down to 2 hours for District Judges and 8 hours for non-Cabinet executive nominees.

Without this bill, the obstructionists can force Congress to spend 9000+ total hours (375 days) just debating and confirming nominees. That would be flat-out unacceptable.

We the people made our voices heard and demanded that you cancel your month-long vacation. If you won't bust through the obstruction, then the next step is to cancel your three day weekends.

If you won't work to pass the agenda and the nominees that I voted for, then I will replace you with someone who will. It's nothing personal. I just cannot afford to let obstruction and, even worse, apathy hold us back...
