Now that we have entered July, you and your colleagues are entering the appropriations season. You must vote on a number of appropriations bills to fund the government in the next fiscal year.

For more than a year and a half, those in Congressional leadership have made false promises. They promised to fund the border wall but every time they were up against a deadline, they decided to push border security off to the next budget bill.

That happened more than 7 times last year.

Once again, you and your colleagues are being presented with a Homeland Security appropriations bill that does not authorize a border wall. We the People are not fools. We know that if the border wall is not funded in next year's appropriations bill, the Trump administration would not be able to break ground until the year 2020, at the earliest.

You and I both know that Congress will not fund a border wall during a Presidential election year... Right now, it could very well be now-or-never.

Open border advocates know they just need to stall a few more weeks and they are counting on the voters not understanding the process.

I am writing to tell you that I am watching this like a hawk. If you vote against securing the border or allow appropriations bills to reach the floor without border wall funding, there will be no escaping. You will own the open borders and everything that comes with it...

In recent days, some of your colleagues have staked out the absurd position of abolishing ICE. A poll was just released showing that 55% of Americans do not support the idea of abolishing the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency.

Your mandate is not open borders. Your mandate is not lawlessness.

You need to fund the wall. You need to secure the border. There is no "next time." No more stalling or delays.
