Over the past year, we have seen the Left fully embrace violence against Conservatives. The GOP sees what is happening and is now working on a concealed carry bill that would grant nationwide carry rights... but only to them.

That's right, Congress believes their right to self defense is more important than yours. The Left is negotiating with the GOP on a gun package that would strip our rights in exchange for protecting Republicans in Congress.

Over just the past month, political discourse in this country has hit an all new low. High profile Democrats like Hillary Clinton and Eric Holder are actively encouraging liberals to throw civility to the wind and take up violence to achieve their policy goals. I understand that you and your colleagues need more protection. But so do the American people. Just this week, a Trump supporter had his pickup truck firebombed. Just to make sure there was no debate over the motive, the arsonists spray painted "TRUMP" on the side of the truck.

A number of your colleagues are working on a nationwide concealed carry bill... but it would only be for Members of Congress. Since the Kavanaugh confirmation, your colleagues have begun working on both the Congressional Self Defense Act and the Congressional Personal Safety Act. Both of these bills would grant immediate nationwide carry rights to you and your colleagues... but not all of us.

That is unacceptable.

The Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act, on the other hand, would provide a path to nationwide carry rights for ALL law-abiding Americans, including Members of Congress.

The bill has the votes to pass with a bipartisan majority in the House of Representatives. Right now, vulnerable Senate Democrats are begging for a pro-gun bill to vote on. Democrat Senators in Missouri, Montana, North Dakota, Indiana, Florida, and other states have seen their leads in the polls completely vanish and need something to pick up their numbers.

It is time to apply maximum pressure.

Put the Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act onto President Trump's desk now! Force the vote. Force vulnerable Democrats and moderates to make a public choice on the 2nd Amendment.

I don't want to hear that the "timing isn't right." The timing is always right to protect the Bill of Rights.
