Yesterday, President Trump issued an order to the Department of Homeland Security authorizing them to close the entire US-Mexico border if the caravan tries to rush the checkpoint en masse.

In just the past 5 days, Border Patrol agents were forced to shutdown the San Ysidro port of entry to stop the migrant caravan from rushing the border and overwhelming the agents. Officers deployed in full riot gear to turn the crowds around. The caravan is refusing to give up and planning a "human stampede" to get into the US.

So, Trump has signed the order authorizing a full border closure if necessary.
