President Trump doubled down this morning. If you and your colleagues will not approve full border wall funding, the government will shut down. Not only that, but President Trump is threatening to declare a national emergency and use the Army Corps of Engineers to complete the border wall.

And yet, so many of you are still defying the President. If you carry through with the establishment's plan to block the border wall, you will be removed from office.

But the plan is actually much more sinister than that. Instead of funding the border wall, many of your colleagues are trying to redirect the funding to give it away to Central American countries as foreign aid.

Right now, the Senate version of the Homeland Security Appropriations Act appropriates no funding for a border wall. It authorizes fence construction and expansion, but no border wall projects. Not wanting to get into a fight with the Senate, Paul Ryan is promising to strip the wall funding from the House version as well in order to avoid a shutdown.

If the government shuts down, it will be your fault. If the southern border remains wide open, it will be your fault.
