President Trump made an extremely generous offer. In exchange for the full $5.7 billion in border wall funding, in addition to additional funding to hire agents and immigration judges, the President offered to sign the BRIDGE Act into law.

In the Senate, Senators Chuck Schumer, Dianne Feinstein, Dick Durbin, Kamala Harris, and Kirsten Gillibrand have all co-sponsored this legislation. Last year's bill also received 16 Democrat co-sponsors in the House, including high-profile Representatives like Retired Reps. Luis Gutierrez (IL) and Beto O'Rourke (TX).

The legislation is simple. It provides three years of deportation protection for illegal aliens registered under Barack Obama's DACA program.

Personally, I think it is ridiculous for the President of the United States to even have to promise not to deport illegal aliens in order to secure funding to secure the border. But this deal allows border wall construction to begin immediately while giving you and your colleagues enough time to negotiate a permanent solution to the country's immigration crisis. It is an extremely fair offer.

Which is why it was so remarkable to see the Democrat Leadership -- many of whom signed onto the Bridge Act as a standalone bill -- flat out refuse to back the President's offer. Both Schumer and Pelosi said the offer isn't good enough.

They want to water down the wall funding to practically nothing. They want to make the DACA program permanent. But worst of all, they are demanding a pathway to citizenship for these illegal aliens. There is already talk among establishment Republicans of adding more compromise provisions to get Democrats on board.

Absolutely Not! If the Left refuses to support their own bill, which they have been demanding for over two years, then there is no compromise to be had.

Under no circumstances can you give in to any of these radical demands. You CANNOT give citizenship to illegal aliens... ever.

President Trump's offer is fair, and if Democrats truly refuse to compromise at all, then it opens the door for President Trump to declare a national emergency and build the wall on his own.

You CANNOT allow your colleagues to water this proposal down or add any additional amnesty provisions. I am fair and understand that compromises have to be made to pass legislation.

But my fairness has limits. Every previous Congress has promised border security in exchange for amnesty. We get the amnesty programs, but the border security funding always seems to get blocked. No more.

If you try to turn this into a massive amnesty giveaway, I will remove you from office. That is a promise.
