This year marks the first time in almost a decade that Democrats have had the power of the purse in Washington. Already, they are using this power to try to push through some of the most radical spending provisions we have seen in year.

The first spending package comes to the floor this week and, as predicted, aims to restore all of the funding to the United Nations most radical, anti-American programs and agencies.

When President Trump won, he made a promise to put America first by cutting funding to any and all United Nations programs that are against the United States' interest. He kept his promise, but this spending bill seeks to undo all of the cuts.

I am demanding that you kill these radical amendments and block all new funding to the United Nations!

President Trump has announced that he will withdraw from the United Nations Paris Climate Agreement. Since Obama never submitted the agreement for Senate ratification, the US is not bound to the terms. However, this week's spending package includes a provision on page 599 that prohibits the Trump administration from using any funding to formally withdraw from the agreement.

Even though Obama had no constitutional or legal right to pledge the United States to the treaty, this spending package would prohibit Trump from un-signing the pact. Not only is this amendment clearly against the United States' interests, but it an unconstitutional attempt to sidestep the Constitution's Treaty Clause. You MUST remove this provision.

One of Trump's first actions as President was to restore Ronald Reagan's Mexico City Policy, blocking Federal funds from going to overseas abortion providers. The legislation coming to the floor this week contains provisions on page 608 overturning this order and forcing the US government finance abortion providers overseas. You must remove this amendment.

Not only does this bill increase the United Nations's funding, but it also repays the United Nations all of the peacekeeping funds that Trump has cut over the past two years. A provision on page 392 requires the administration to give the United Nations all of the $478 million that Trump cut in 2017 and 2018. You must to kill this provision as well.

Every time you have ever given the United Nations funding, they have used it to attack our sovereignty. They have used American tax dollars to push gun control, refugee resettlement, illegal immigration, wealth redistribution, and attack our allies. Trump made these cuts for a reason. Pelosi wants to give it all back.

You swore an oath to uphold and defend the Constitution, not sign away billions of dollars to an anti-American world government. You should be cutting the United Nations funding, not scheming to restore it...

If you allow these provisions to reach Pres. Trump's desk, I promise that I will make sure you will pay the price. This is nothing but an attempt to surrender even more of our sovereignty to the United Nations.

I am demanding that you stop it. I don't care what it takes. Your political career is over if you allow any of these anti-American UN funding provisions to pass.
