Mitch McConnell just announced that the Senate will consider the entire Democrat-written gun control package. That includes creating a universal registry of gun owners, authorizing confiscations against innocent Americans, and banning the most commonly-owned guns in America.

Democrats are giddy with excitement. Jerry Nadler just let slip that he is going to hold an emergency session in the House Judiciary to try to push through more radical gun control bills.

And in the middle of this all, President Trump says he wants to sign a new gun control package into law.

This is worse than we ever could have thought. The GOP is caving. They are pushing through a new gun control package and they want to get it done by the end of the month.

I am demanding that you kill the gun control package working its way through Congress. There is nothing "common sense" about what gun control advocates are demanding.

You swore an oath to defend the Constitution and that includes the 2nd Amendment. If you join onto this gun control push and dare vote for any of these bills, you will have to be removed from office.

After every mass shooting, there is a rush to pass new radical gun control laws. Before the facts are even known, we see renewed pushes to pass the same three pieces of legislation: universal background checks, Red Flag confiscation laws, and a ban on commonly-owned semi-automatic weapons.

The shooters in El Paso and Dayton passed their background checks. They had clean records. But this bill isn't designed to stop criminals. Criminals already ignore our gun laws. No, the universal background check bill is designed to target law-abiding gun owners. The Left wants the power to create a nationwide gun owner registry. They only way they can legally do that is with their background check bill. There is no way to enforce a background check law without a database of who owns which guns. If you give the government this power, it will be used to disarm innocent Americans...

The next bill is the so-called Red Flag bill. Make no mistake: this bill is designed to disarm innocent gun owners. The government would have the power to confiscate an American's firearms and suspend their God-given right to self-defense without even needing to accuse them of breaking the law. In states that have passed this bill, we have already seen it abused. If you create a national confiscation program, there is no telling how many innocent gun owners will suffer.

And the last bill in the package is the so-called Assault Weapons Ban. This bill would ban tens of millions of the most commonly-owned semi-automatic weapons. Target rifles, concealed carry pistols, hunting shotguns, home defense firearms... they would all be on the chopping block. This bill is flagrantly unconstitutional and you must do everything in your power to defeat it.

We know what the gun control movement's ultimate goal is: civilian disarmament. Each of these bills moves the radical left closer to that goal.

There is no negotiating with people who want to eliminate the right to keep and bear arms. There is no common-ground on the issue of civilian disarmament.

If you pass any of the bills in this unconstitutional gun control package, then you must be removed from office. If you think you can get away with chipping away at the 2nd Amendment like this, then you are sorely mistaken...
