Breaking: Armed Churchgoer Saves Congregation During Mass Shooting!

Yesterday, a gunman tried to massacre churchgoers in a Texas church. But less than six seconds after he fired the first shot, he was gunned down by an armed congregant.

Just days prior, a machete-wielding anti-semite attacked a New York Rabbi's home and was able to stab five defenseless worshippers celebrating the 7th night of Hanukkah.

The difference is that in New York, civilians are not allowed to exercise their right to bear arms. More than 25% of all Americans live in anti-gun states where they are blocked from carrying firearms in public, even if they meet all of the requirements.

Now, Republicans want to fix that. The Constitutional Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act would restore the 2nd Amendment and stop anti-gun states from blocking law-abiding citizens from carrying.

This is our best chance to restore the 2nd Amendment to its original intent. We have a chance to tear down more than a century of unconstitutional carry bans and restore the right to bear arms as the founders intended.

This week, we saw tragedies on two separate sides of the country unfold very differently.

In New York, a machete wielding anti-semite attacked a Rabbi's home on the 7th day of Hanukkah and stabbed 5 unarmed worshippers.

In Fort Worth, Texas, a gunman opened fire inside of the West Freeway Church of Christ and less than 6 seconds after firing the first shot, he was killed by an armed congregant.

2019 has taught us that unfortunately, there is no shortage of hate in this world. No matter the religion or creed, there are evil people out there who want to kill as many worshippers as possible.

The Supreme Court has already ruled that the 2nd Amendment describes an individual right to self defense and that Americans have a right to bear (carry) firearms. Unfortunately, more than 25 percent of Americans live in states that refuse to honor this Constitutional right.

Why do you continue to allow a minority of states to infringe on this basic individual liberty?

Unless you are a police officer, it is impossible to legally carry a concealed weapon in all fifty states. A minority of states refuse to issue their own resident carry permits, honor any out-of-state permits, or issue non-resident permits to qualified visitors. If this was being done with any other Constitutional right, it would be a massive scandal. But for some reason, these states have been allowed to violate the 2nd Amendment without consequence for over a century...

The Constitutional Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act would protect the 2nd Amendment rights of individuals while respecting the 10th Amendment rights of states. It would require states to honor all out-of-state carry permits (as they do with driver's licenses). It would finally provide a way for law-abiding citizens to carry in anti-gun states like California and New Jersey. But most importantly, it makes good on the 14th Amendment's promise that Congress will intervene any time states enforce laws that violate Americans' rights.

You have an obligation to right this wrong.

In less than a week, we have seen how lives can be saved through concealed carry. All law-abiding Americans have a right to bear arms in public for self-defense. You have a duty to make sure that states honor this right!

The American people have waited long enough. It is time to pass Concealed Carry Reciprocity and send it to President Trump's desk for signature.

A right delayed is a right denied. If you won't prioritize defending and protecting my rights, then you will be removed from office.
