Nancy Pelosi has done immeasurable damage to the Republic. For three months, she waged the most partisan, one-sided impeachment push in our history. All the while, we were told that there was no time for due process and minority party rights because time was of the essence. Pelosi argued that Trump had to be impeached as fast as possible because 'our Democracy was at stake,' whatever that means.

But immediately after pushing the articles through on a party line vote, Pelosi announced that she would refuse to deliver the articles to the Senate until Mitch McConnell agrees to give Chuck Schumer power over the trial process.

The Constitution is clear: the House of Representatives has the sole power over impeachment and the Senate has the sole power over the trial. Pelosi is flagrantly violating the Constitution by blocking the Senate from exercising its duties. She is also denying President Trump his right to a speedy trial.

Nancy Pelosi has no power over the Senate. She is weaponizing the Senate's rules to block the trial and hold the impeachment articles hostage.

Even more disgusting than Nancy Pelosi's latest scheme, however, is that you are letting her get away with it.
Under the Senate rules, two things need to happen to begin the impeachment trial. The impeachment articles have to be walked 500 feet across the Capitol Building and delivered to the Senate, and Nancy Pelosi has to name the House's "managers" who will prosecute the case.

It doesn't specify, though, who must deliver the impeachment articles. The Clerk certified the vote count. The impeachment resolution and the vote count is now a matter of public record. Anyone can walk the impeachment articles across Statuary Hall and deliver them to the Senate. I am demanding that you bust through Nancy Pelosi's latest scheme and deliver the articles of impeachment yourself, if necessary.

And in the Senate, Pelosi can be stopped simply by changing the Senate Rules. No one ever envisioned that a Speaker of the House would be so consumed with hatred towards the President that she would refuse to allow an impeachment trial to begin.

But the Senate can put a stop to this madness easily. Right now, the Senate rules require the Speaker of the House to name the team of prosecutors before the trial can begin. But if the rules are changed to allow the trial to begin with or without the House prosecutors' involvement, then Pelosi's scheme will fail.

Imagine if a defendant was indicted but denied his or her day in court and a chance to clear their name because the prosecutors refused to show up to court... If this happened to anyone else, the prosecutors would be thrown into jail and the defendant would be cleared of all charges.

But because it is Donald Trump, Democrats like Pelosi think they can violate his Constitutional rights and block him from having his trial.

You must fight back against this clear lawlessness!

I don't care what it takes. You must deliver the Articles of Impeachment to the Senate and force the changing of the rules to put a stop to Nancy Pelosi's delay tactics.
