That is why in-utero surgeries require anesthetics. Medical ethics bar surgeons from willfully operating without anesthetics if the patient can feel pain. That includes unborn children.

But the same rights are not afforded to the unborn when it comes to abortion. Those same surgeons can perform dismemberment abortions against pain-capable unborn children without facing any consequences.

The Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act fixes this. It outlaws elective abortion after the point when unborn children develop the ability to feel pain. Considering that this is also the point where unborn children start to become viable outside the womb, it is absolutely vital that you pass this common sense bill into law.

Do you remember former-Congresswoman Renee Ellmers? She blocked this legislation from passing back in 2015. As a result, she ended up losing her next primary by over 30 percent. She was voted out precisely because of her attempts to block the Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act.

For the first time, we have a President who is willing to do whatever it takes to protect the unborn.President Trump has promised to sign the bill into law if it reaches his desk. I am demanding that you put it there!

That is the cost of your enaction. Every day that you allow this legislation to collect dust, 27 innocent children are killed.

I beg of you, do not make the same mistake as Renee Ellmers. Do not assume that you can do the bare minimum and still win re-election.
