When the sole focus should be helping the Americans who need it the most, it is disgusting that these people want to send even more American tax dollars overseas.

We are calling on Congress to do two things: Pull the plug on ALL existing foreign aid disbursements, including funding to the United Nations, right now and block any additional foreign aid from being added to the Chinese Coronavirus response bill. For once, they need to put America first.

If there was ever a time to focus on America first, this is it. If there was ever a time to prioritize the American people -- your constituents -- this is it.

You must pass the American Sovereignty Restoration Act and put an immediate halt to all financial contributions to the United Nations and its side organizations. While small in comparison to the $1 Trillion you are now debating, it is unfathomable that the United States would continue donating to foreign aid organizations within the United Nations when Americans are in such dire need.

You also must suspend all foreign aid disbursement. Earlier this year, you approved a spending package that earmarked tens of billions of dollars for foreign aid disbursements. You need to claw that funding back. At a time when Americans are at risk of losing their homes, you simply cannot use American funds to build homes abroad. When supermarket shelves are bare, you cannot use taxpayer funds to send food overseas. And when so many Americans are being laid off and furloughed, it is unconscionable to continue sending foreign aid abroad to fight poverty in foreign countries.

When we beat this virus, there will be an opportunity to share winning strategies and assistance with foreign countries. When we rebuild our country, we can then focus on rebuilding foreign countries. When Americans have job security, housing security, and food security, we can resume sending foreign aid abroad.

But to continue to divert tax dollars overseas is, as I said, truly unconscionable.

It is time to put partisanship aside. You were elected to serve the American people. It is time to do just that.

You MUST cut off all foreign aid disbursements and STOP any additional foreign aid from being added to the next spending package!
