Nancy Pelosi Demands Removal Of Statues Inside Capitol Building

Nancy Pelosi is trying to take a wrecking ball to our history, using any excuse she can to remove paintings, statues, military base names, and even state flags linked, in any way, to the Confederacy.

But Pelosi only has so much power on her own. While she is allowed to remove paintings from her own lobby (which she did last week), it will take an act of Congress to make the rest of her dreams a reality.

And Pelosi is confident that she has enough GOP turncoats willing to vote with her to start tearing down statues within the Capitol Building itself.

Do not let these cowards sign away our history. Do not let them cave to the mob's demands.

If they give an inch, the Left will take a mile.

Nancy Pelosi has lost her mind.

Last week, she ordered four paintings of past Speakers of the House to be removed from the walls lining the Speaker's Lobby. Three of the men served as Speaker before the Civil War and another served as Speaker of the House a quarter century after the Civil War ended.

Charles Crisp served as Speaker from 1891-1895. In 1861, Crisp was 16 years old and traveling the country with his parents who were actors in a Shakespeare troupe. When the war broke out, Crisp and his family happened to be in Virginia. He was called to serve in the Virginia Infantry, as all boys his age were. Pelosi removed his painting because he was essentially conscripted to fight in the Civil War when he was a teenager.

This is insane.

Now, Nancy Pelosi wants to topple statues lining Statuary Hall. She wants to tear them down. On top of that, Pelosi also wants to remove certain state flags from the Capitol Grounds because they contain design elements dating back to the Confederacy. She wants to remove the flags representing Florida, Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama, and Georgia. After the Civil War, the Union went to great lengths to heal the wounds of the past and re-welcome the South back into the nation. Nancy Pelosi, however, is out for posthumous blood and wants only 45 flags to fly on the Capitol grounds...

But she isn't stopping there. Nancy Pelosi also wants to forcibly change the names of ten storied military bases because they are named after Confederate soldiers. Bases like Fort Hood, Benning, and Bragg would all lose their names. There is not a single person in this country who can claim they were victimized by the sign standing outside a military base... This is nothing but stupid virtue signaling.

I don't care what it takes, you need to put a stop to this. The Leftist mobs are already tearing down statues honoring Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, George Washington, and Theodore Roosevelt. In just three short years, this fight over confederate statues has now devolved to the point where the Presidents honored on Mount Rushmore are now being targeted as well.

This has to end.

No more removing paintings, statues, or monuments. No forcing states to change their flags. No renaming military bases.
