Yesterday, the President Donald Trump announced his plan to offer amnesty and a pathway to US citizenship to millions of illegal aliens. This is a mistake!

With tens of millions of Americans out of work right now, the last thing that you should be doing is adding more foreign workers to the economy. These illegal aliens will work white and blue collar jobs that Americans desperately want and need. It is unconscionable that you would force Americans to compete with illegal aliens for work.

We also know from the text of the American Dream and Promise Act (H.R. 6) that Democrats want to offer amnesty and citizenship to illegal aliens with criminal records. Under this proposal, which Democrats are pressuring the President to adopt, illegal aliens would only become ineligible for amnesty and citizenship if they committed more than four misdemeanors. Many jurisdictions allow illegal alien criminals to plead down from felonies to misdemeanors in order to avoid deportation. They would get amnesty and citizenship too. Surely you must understand how dangerous this is...

This is also a naked attempt to steal future elections. While most illegal aliens live in California, there are enough of them living in states like Texas, Florida, Georgia, and North Carolina that an offering them a pathway to citizenship would undoubtedly flip those states from red to blue. That is what is driving many amnesty proponents. To upset the balance of American politics by adding millions of illegal aliens to the voter rolls -- and thus, disenfranchising millions of American voters -- would be a grave mistake.

We also know that if amnesty passes, more illegal aliens will surge the border. When Ronald Reagan authorized an amnesty push in the 1980s, illegal immigration skyrocketed. Without securing the border and reforming our asylum system to prevent asylum fraud, any amnesty push is doomed to repeat the mistakes of the past.

But at the end of the day, this is a fundamental question of fairness. In 2018, 100,000 of the immigrants who came into the United States had been waiting a decade for a green card. Millions of people are patiently waiting in line for their chance to live in the United States and, one day, become Americans themselves. It is fundamentally unfair to offer amnesty and citizenship to illegal aliens who skipped the line.

You need to kill this amnesty plan. I don't care what it takes, you cannot allow it to pass into law and you cannot allow Trump to cave to the Establishment's demands and enact it by executive order.

I need you to understand that anyone who supports this plan will be removed from office. It doesn't matter who you are or what party you belong to... If you vote to give amnesty and citizenship to millions of illegal aliens, you will be removed.
