Your colleagues are peddling insane conspiracy theories about the USPS.

The postal service does not need a bailout. They have $14 billion in cash on hand and a line of credit that allows them to borrow an additional $10 billion if necessary. This push to give $25 billion to the USPS is nothing but an attempt to use the coronavirus as an excuse to bailout decades of mismanagement.

There is also no scheme to sabotage the postal service. Letter sorting machines are being removed to allow the USPS to better process and handle packages. They are being removed because they are not needed. Barack Obama's administration closed entire mail sorting facilities to better streamline USPS' efforts, and I don't remember special hearings or emergency Saturday votes about that...

There is also no scheme to remove public mailboxes. From 2011 to 2016, more than 12,000 public mailboxes were removed. No one accused the Obama administration of trying to sabotage absentee voting in the 2012, 2014, or 2016 elections. That is because the USPS is constantly removing mailboxes that are no longer or seldom used in order to streamline mail routes (and save money and time by not forcing mail carriers to stop and check empty mailboxes).

The entire theory that Donald Trump is sabotaging the post office is a sham. But to many of your Democrat colleagues, it is a means to an end. They desperately want the 2020 election to be conducted by mail.

They are using this manufactured crisis to try to push that scheme across the finish line.

Just this week, the City of Paterson, New Jersey announced it would re-do its election after rampant mail-in ballot fraud caused the results to be invalidated. Nevada reported that 200,000+ mailed out ballots got returned as undeliverable because of how dirty their voter rolls are. Carolyn Maloney (D-NY) -- who "coincidentally" is the one pushing universal mail-in voting -- was declared the winner of her primary after a court ordered thousands of tossed-out ballots to be counted anyway.

Every state that has rolled out universal mail-in voting this year has seen fraud, abuse, and voters being disenfranchised.

And now they want to roll this out nationwide? Absolutely not!

Right now, there are negotiations taking place behind the scenes to add the $25 billion USPS bailout and $3.5 billion for universal vote-by-mail to the "compromise" coronavirus relief bill.

Let me be clear: you must kill these proposals and stop them from becoming law. You need to be fighting to make elections more secure, not opening the door for the election to be stolen!
