The Republicans are caving, however, on the issue of "contact tracing." They are agreeing to include H.R.6666 in their "compromise" plan. This legislation would provide hundreds of billions in funding to help local and state officials force their way into your home to conduct contact tracing, testing, and enforce quarantine requirements.

That is the GOP's idea of a compromise... Paying liberal cities and states so they can force their way into people's homes...

It is amazing to me how your colleagues continue to try to politicize the coronavirus pandemic.

Millions of Americans continue to suffer needlessly, all because Nancy Pelosi and her allies are refusing to approve the next relief package unless you agree to also pass their radical amendments into law. These poison pill amendments have nothing to do with the pandemic. Your colleagues are simply trying to use Americans' suffering as leverage to force their radical agenda across the finish line...

Republicans plan to bring a "clean" COVID-19 relief bill to the floor this coming week. But they have already made a major concession. They have agreed to include H.R.6666 in the package.

As you know, H.R.6666 would provide cities and states with $100 billion for Fiscal Year 2020 and unlimited funding for Fiscal Year 2021 to send government officials into people's homes to conduct contact tracing, testing, or enforce quarantine requirements.

The Founding Fathers went out of their way to restrict how and when government officials can enter people's homes. These restrictions were literally written into the first four amendments of the United States Constitution.

H.R.6666 would bypass the Constitution and encourage government officials to enter people's homes in the name of public health.

The pandemic, in many ways, has shown us the best of America as first responders and medical personnel made great sacrifices to save lives. Unfortunately, it has also revealed the worst of America. Mayors, county officials, and governors used their emergency powers to impose the most radical lockdowns this country has ever seen. Lives and livelihoods were ruined.

Now, you want to reimburse them for their tyranny and provide a blank check for it to continue? Absolutely not.

Any Congressman or Senator who votes for H.R.6666 or any provision or amendment that provides funding to help cities and states force their way into people's homes will be removed from office.
