The Founding Fathers gave Congress the Power of the Purse to ensure that the final say over government spending and policy rested with the American people.

They knew a day would come when a President would go too far and Congress would be required to rein government spending in.

They never would have guessed that this kind of constitutional crisis would come a week into a President's term or that a President would sign executive orders without even understanding what was in them. But, that is the situation we are in...

Over four years, Donald Trump used his power to cut funding to the international organizations determined to be acting against the United States' interests.

When the Palestinian Authority was caught providing pensions for terrorists' families and teaching 'Death to America/Israel' in school, Pres. Trump cut all funding to the UNRWA. Why should the United States fund a country that is actively teaching their children to hate us?

When President Trump learned how much funding the Obama administration had given to foreign abortion providers, Trump reimplemented the Reagan-era Mexico City Policy to block American tax dollars from going to the UN Population Fund or any other UN-affiliate pro-abortion organizations. Why should American tax dollars pay for overseas abortions? How is that possibly in our national interest?

When the UN was caught trying to sneak unvetted refugees into the US, Trump defunded the United Nations' Global Compact on Migration. When UNESCO was caught weaponizing world heritage funding against Israel, Trump cut all funding to there as well. A UN body dedicated to preserving world heritage sites shouldn't be anti-Israel (but it was). Trump also went after the United Nations' General Fund, ordering them to fix corruption and mismanagement before the United States would submit its annual donation.

And when the United Nations demanded the $2 billion that Obama had promised, so they could redistribute American wealth to other countries in the name of fighting climate change, Trump cancelled the payment and withdrew from the Paris Climate Agreement.

All of these were legitimate decisions enacted after lengthy debate. And all were done in the best interest of America and her taxpayers.

Joe Biden is rescinding all of these cuts without any deliberation. American tax dollars will now flow into foreign organizations that do little or nothing to actually help the United States. Joe Biden has signed these executive orders and admitted that he didn't actually know what he was signing.

You need to put a stop to this. You need to exercise your Power of the Purse and rein this in before it is too late.

There is room for compromise. We can have a foreign aid policy that helps foreign countries and organizations while also advancing the United States' interests. But what Joe Biden's doing is not it, and you know it...
