Democrats are moving forward with their gun control agenda. Half of the Democrats like Joe Biden's plan to tax the 2nd Amendment to death, the other half like Sheila Jackson-Lee's plan to force all gun owners to register and apply for a "permit" to continue owning guns.

Now, Pelosi and Schumer are trying to come up with a "compromise" that would allow gun owners to be taxed AND forced to register and submit to invasive psychological assessments.

They have one goal in mind: ban guns and confiscate as many firearms as possible.

You swore an oath. Do you remember? You held up your hand and swore that you would uphold and defend the Constitution against all enemies, both foreign and domestic.

Your oath was to protect the WHOLE Constitution and yes, when the oath mentioned "domestic enemies," it was even referring to some of your colleagues.

The 2nd Amendment to the United States Constitution protects the right of the people to keep and bear arms. The Supreme Court has since ruled that this right exists not only to protect the militia, but also to protect Americans' ability to defend themselves. Gun bans that target handguns or any class of firearm "in common use" are unconstitutional.

Many of your colleagues don't seem to understand this. They are debating between two different gun control proposals designed to force American gun owners to register with the government. World history shows that every time a government forces gun owners to register, that registry is eventually used to facilitate mass firearm confiscations.

Joe Biden's plan is terrible. It would tax Americans $200 for the "high capacity magazine" and semi-automatic pistols, rifles, and shotguns they own. Even modest gun collectors would face thousands and even tens of thousands in new taxes. If they can afford the tax, they would be registered with the ATF. Anyone who cannot afford it would be required to surrender, destroy, or permanently alter the guns and magazines. This is a disgusting attempt to disarm the poor and middle class. You CANNOT allow this bill to pass.

Other Democrats don't believe Joe Biden's plan goes far enough. They want to pass Sheila Jackson-Lee's H.R. 127. It would force all American gun owners to register with the Federal Government and notify them of "the make, model, and serial number of the firearm, the identity of the owner of the firearm, the date the firearm was acquired by the owner, and where the firearm is or will be stored."

The legislation would also require gun owners, once registered, to jump through additional hoops to continue owning their guns. They would have to pay $800 for a new Federal gun license and agree to (1) take a background check, (2) pass a psychological assessment, (3) complete a training course that includes at least 24 hours of training, and (4) acquire firearm insurance (which does not even exist yet).

H.R. 127 would give a Government-chosen psychologist the power to subjectively decide whether an American deserves the right to keep and bear arms. Not only would they examine the gun owner, but the bill would require them to interview friends and family, including all former spouses...

Anyone who fails to pass these new standards would immediately lose their right to keep and bear arms. If you pass, then your name and guns would still be added to the registry so that the government can come back if they change their mind...

The Founders included the phrase "shall not be infringed" in the Constitution specifically to protect the American people from this. These are the domestic enemies of the Constitution that you swore an oath to fight against...

It is time to honor that oath. You must KILL Joe Biden's gun tax proposal, Sheila Jackson-Lee's H.R. 127, and any other gun control bill that the Radical Left dreams up. Again, this is the oath you swore...
