Democrats are now in the final stages of their plan to strike down election integrity laws around the country to make Leftist voter fraud permanent!

They have added H.R. 4 to the must-pass spending package, a bill that would give the Federal government the power to overturn and block state-level laws designed to secure elections. The DOJ would be allowed to declare that voter ID laws, voter-roll cleaning, or other common-sense election safeguards are "voting rights violations" and overturn the laws. The DOJ would then have the power to label states as habitual voting rights offenders and require them to receive Federal preclearance whenever they want to change their election laws.

This is a federal takeover of America's elections and it is designed to make elections as insecure as possible so that leftist election thieves can swoop in and steal them!

You must stop this before it's too late!

Your colleagues are trying to force a radical election bill through that would literally destroy the Republic. H.R. 4 cannot be allowed to pass, either as a standalone bill or amendment. I don't care what it takes: You must kill this bill!

The Founding Fathers went to great lengths to design a Federal government that would be powerful enough to protect the American people but not powerful enough to trample their rights and liberties. To accomplish this, they crafted a Constitution of enumerated powers. Any power not delegated to the Federal government explicitly was reserved for the states (and the American people).

The Elections Clause is clear: "The Times, Places and Manner of holding Elections for Senators and Representatives, shall be prescribed in each State by the Legislature thereof; but the Congress may at any time by Law make or alter such Regulations, except as to the Places of choosing Senators."

While the Congress has the power to weigh in on election law, the States ultimately control how elections are run. The Founders wanted a decentralized election system specifically to mitigate the rise of a tyrannical Federal government.

H.R. 4, John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act - now added to the annual spending bill - dispatches centuries of tradition and would federalize America's elections. This bill is dangerous and would dismantle centuries of state laws designed to protect the integrity of the vote.

If passed into law, H.R. 4 would empower the Department of Justice to overrule states and overturn laws deemed to be (1) a voting rights violation or (2) evidence of voting discrimination. If a state has a Voter ID law on the books, even if the Courts deemed it constitutional, the DOJ would be allowed to block its implementation. Once the DOJ labels a state as a violator of voting rights, they would then have the power to require any future election law changes receive preclearance from the DOJ. If a state legislature decides to change their election laws, the DOJ would have the final say in determining whether it went into effect...

This is precisely what the Founders feared: the federalization of America's elections. A similar scheme was already brought before the Supreme Court and overturned because it was unconstitutional. This new scheme is no different...

Voter fraud is real and poses a serious risk to this country. It is unconscionable to even consider legislation that would make it easier to cast fraudulent votes. However, that is what your colleagues are pushing...

I don't care what it takes, you CANNOT allow H.R. 4 to become law! You must kill this bill!
