Many of your colleagues are still licking their wounds after failing to lift the filibuster and pass their election fraud bill last week.

Recognizing that their days in power are literally numbered, they are growing more and more desperate to pass something into law. They believe that "something" is a new gun control package.

They are eyeing the universal background check (aka gun registration) bill that was authored by Pat Toomey and Joe Manchin during the Obama years. Democrats tried back then to pass a bill that would give the Federal government a record of every time a firearm changed hands in this country. They wanted to force all Americans to undergo a background check, and thus, notify the Federal government, whenever they bought, sold, transferred, or built a firearm.

Their true intentions are not a secret. Every country on earth that has ever confiscated its citizens' firearms started by first forcing them to register their guns. Every country that has ever created a firearm registry like this has eventually used it to disarm people...

The only purpose behind a universal background check bill is to disarm people who should not have guns. That might seem reasonable now, but once the registry is created, there is nothing stopping them from changing the definition of a prohibited person.

Republicans understood this, so they blocked the Democrats' universal background check bill in the 1990s. They demanded an exception for private sales and transfers. The "compromise" reached in 1994 meant that the government would know every single time a gun was bought from a licensed dealer, but would be unable to create a full registry because private sales would remain unregulated.

Now, your colleagues are calling this "compromise" a "loophole." They want to go back to their original plan and require background checks every time a firearm changes hands in this country.

You must kill this gun control package, along with any other "compromises" that they dream up. You swore an oath to uphold and defend the Constitution and that includes the 2nd Amendment.

Any Congressman or Senator who votes for this, or helps it pass in any way, will be removed from office. That is not a threat, it is a promise!
