As we reported last month, the House Judiciary Committee advanced a bill to ban what they call “assault weapons.” Last week, the chamber passed the unconstitutional measures with bi-partisan opposition and support. 77 Democrats crossed party lines to vote with Republicans against disarming Americans. 38 Republicans voted for the measure.
The uniparty believes disarming the American people is a winning issue for them come November, and they aren’t even hiding their disdain for your desire to protect and defend your life, liberty and property.
The bill now heads to the Senate where it is expected to fail. Passage would require 10 Republican Senators to vote with Democrats, and no one expects that to happen. Then again, we also didn’t expect the Senate to pass something as economically ignorant as the “Inflation Reduction Act” spending bill. This Clown Congress always keeps us guessing.
Right on schedule, the left is calling again to abolish the filibuster. On Rachel Maddow’s show blog, they teed us up perfectly:
“In 2022, filibusters requiring supermajorities are the norm for every bill in which the tactic can be applied, but what often goes overlooked, even by some sitting senators who apparently don’t know better, is that the Senate didn’t used to work this way. The routinization of the 60-vote threshold is a modern invention wholly at odds with the institution’s historical norms.”
All of a sudden historical norms matter? Say those working to pack the court, disarm Americans, and prevent the unborn from ever having access to human rights.
Calls to abolish the Constitution from Democrats and Liz Cheney (but I repeat myself) are expected any day now.
The legislation heading to the Senate makes no exceptions for veterans, retired law enforcement officers, or the most vulnerable among us.
That is vile – but immaterial.
Any infringement is a violation and cannot be tolerated. The Supreme Court affirmed the Constitutional individual right to carry earlier this year in New York State Rifle & Pistol Association v. Bruen. Shall not be infringed.
In other words, when it comes to disarming Americans, the science is settled. The Congress is acting in violation of the US Constitution. Brazenly.

All of the infamous historical atrocities perpetrated by governments began with disarmament. And as we’ve covered, twice a day every day, on Conservative Daily, the US government is no longer hiding their disdain for We the People of this great nation.
They’re hostile to us. In what universe would we allow them to disarm us?
