The Case Against Introducing mRNA into Our Food Supply
Messenger RNA (mRNA) technology has garnered significant attention for its role in COVID-19 vaccines, but discussions have also emerged about the possibility of introducing mRNA into our food sources.
Introducing mRNA into our food sources raises ethical concerns related to transparency, informed consent, and consumer choice. Consumers have the right to make informed decisions about the food they consume, and introducing mRNA without clear labeling or public awareness undermines this fundamental principle.
Manipulating crop genetics through mRNA could result in unintended effects on ecosystems, including the potential for cross-pollination with wild plant species.
Not only, but mRNA, specifically introducing it into our food, would be entirely experimental, and if this experiment were to be taking place on such a large scale, without the consent of the consumer, it could very well be breaching the Geneva Convention, and therefore be considered a mass war crime.
If mRNA were to increase a loss of biodiversity on our farms, our plants would likely be more vulnerable to diseases that could on a wide scale level wipe out all of the production of said plant.

[Sen./Rep.] [FIRST NAME] [LAST NAME]
Washington, DC
Dear [Sen./Rep.] [LAST NAME]:
I write to you today to express deep concern regarding the emerging discussions about incorporating messenger RNA (mRNA) technology into our food sources. MRNA technology application in our food system raises numerous health, environmental, ethical, and biodiversity concerns. I urge you to exercise rigorous oversight and enact legislation that ensures the highest degree of safety and transparency. Firstly, there is a potential risk for unintended health consequences. As we have seen with mRNA COVID-19 vaccines, some recipients have developed health conditions such as myocarditis and pericarditis. It is reasonable to suspect that food containing mRNA might also induce unintended side effects. It is essential to conduct comprehensive studies and safety assessments before making such a monumental change to our food supply. Secondly, introducing mRNA technology to agriculture could have significant environmental implications. Manipulation of crop genetics may affect entire ecosystems due to cross-pollination with wild plant species and more. The potential ecological impact must be evaluated carefully to avoid harm to biodiversity and ecosystems. From an ethical standpoint, introducing mRNA into our food sources raises issues of transparency, informed consent, and consumer choice. Without clear labeling and comprehensive public awareness, consumers' right to make informed decisions about their food intake is compromised. This infringement on personal autonomy could be seen as a violation of the Geneva Convention and, by extension, an act akin to a war crime. Furthermore, there is a potential for a loss of biodiversity, a significant concern from an ecological perspective. Genetic drift caused by manipulated genes could alter natural genetic diversity and negatively impact resilience, adaptability, and sustainability of our food system. As history has shown, reduced biodiversity can make crops more susceptible to diseases, as was the case with the Gros Michel banana devastated by the Panama disease. Lastly, trust and public perception are paramount. Introducing mRNA into our food system without a clear scientific consensus and robust regulatory frameworks risks undermining public trust. Transparency, comprehensive risk assessments, and clear communication are crucial to maintaining public confidence in the safety and integrity of our food supply. In light of these concerns, I urge you to take the following actions: Commission and prioritize independent, thorough, and transparent scientific studies on the potential impact of incorporating mRNA technology into our food supply. Develop rigorous regulations and guidelines for the potential use of mRNA in food production, focusing on public health, environmental protection, and biodiversity conservation. Enforce clear and comprehensive labeling of any food products developed using mRNA technology to ensure consumers are fully informed about what they are consuming. Engage the public in these discussions and decisions to uphold trust and ensure our food system remains safe, healthy, and reliable. I urge you to treat this matter with the utmost seriousness and urgency it requires. It is crucial that any introduction of mRNA into our food system is treated with caution, and that the American public's health and biodiversity of our ecosystem are not compromised. The Citizens of the United States demand that congressmen, who swore by oath to uphold the Constitution, and as being a part of the UN, have agreed to abide by the Geneva Convention, will vote NO against any experimental medical trials, which include mRNA in our food supply, and mRNA in our medical treatments. The mRNA treatments and experiments that have been discussed or are currently taking place, cannot, in confidence, be implemented across the United States due to their nature of being experimental. We do not know the health effects that this would have on the population, we do not know the effects that this may have on our environment, namely our farms and the food they produce. We demand that you uphold the Constitution and the Geneva Convention and say NO to the experimental implementation of mRNA in our food supply.
Sincerely,
[SIGNATURE]
